Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 2 ¾ cups AP flour
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup Friendship Dairies® Sour Cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 ½ tsp. mint extract
- 1 ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 stick room temperature unsalted butter
- 1 8-oz. pkg. room temperature cream cheese
- ½ cup Friendship Dairies® Sour Cream
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
- Red & green sprinkles or holiday sprinkles
- Edible gold or silver glitter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment or foil.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, use a paddle attachment to combine the butter and cream cheese until no lumps remain.
- Add sugar then beat until smooth. Then add the egg, beat until combined.
- Add sour cream and mint extract and beat on low for 1 additional minute. Turn off the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl.
- Mix on low, gradually adding the flour and salt for about 1 minute. Add the chocolate chips and mix for an additional 30 seconds.
- Spread the dough into an even layer in the 9x13-inch lined pan. Bake for 25 minutes; remove from oven once the edges turn a light golden brown.
- Once cool, refrigerate for an additional 20 minutes. Then remove from the pan and set aside.
- Place the butter and cream in a clean bowl for the stand mixer. Combine using the paddle attachment until no lumps remain. Add the sour cream and mix for 20 seconds. Then add the sifted powdered sugar slowly with the mixer on low. Add vanilla and green food coloring (drop by drop until desired shade of green is mixed), then mix for 1 more minute.
- Frost and dust with holiday themed sprinkles. Refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting.
